Problem:
An environmental education center in Mamelodi currently discharges untreated wastewater directly into a local stream, posing environmental and public health risks. The center urgently needed a sustainable wastewater treatment solution to prevent pollution and a reliable water source to support its community food gardens in this water-scarce region.
Solution:
To address the environmental and social risks of untreated sewage, the Center installed a VGW-BF15 system, providing efficient, sustainable on-site wastewater treatment. This solution not only prevents pollution but also recycles water for irrigation, supporting community food gardens, enhancing food security, and protecting farmers’ livelihoods by ensuring a reliable water source for agricultural production.
